You can find more information about working at NTNU and the application process here.     Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_KHQjc4ndas&t=41sAbout the JobWe have a vacancy for a researcher at the Department of Psychology in the research group for Citizens, Environment and Safety for 2 years.  The position combines work in three externally funded projects:  (1)  The HARMONI project aims to develop a comprehensive knowledge toolbox for hybrid products that combine the benefits of cultivated and plant-based meat alternatives, enabling the creation of appealing new food concepts and expanding future food choices. To achieve this, HARMONI brings together a consortium of Cellular Agriculture and Bioprocess Engineering (Technical University of Munich), Meat Science, Cultivated Muscle Cells and Nutrition (Aarhus University), Material Science and Microbial Systems (Katholieke Universiteit Leuven), Sustainable Food Systems (University of Helsinki), and Environmental and Consumer Psychology (NTNU), complemented by leading industrial partners. The part of NTNU is to study consumer perceptions of such products with focus group interviews, experiments and surveys. Data is likely collected in Norway, Germany, Belgium, and Finnland. (2)    The cells4energy project is a real-world laboratory for 100% renewable energy systems. At its core lies the systemic energy cell approach, where locally generated renewable energy is intelligently stored, utilized, and interconnected with other cells. Through digital technologies and innovative business models, we test in real-world environments how a flexible, resilient, and scalable energy supply can be achieved for the future. The task for NTNU in this project is to implement and analyse the results from an automatized internet-based intervention platform to motivate energy saving. Data will be collected in Austria.  (3)    The SaferClay project is a research project focusing on developing methods to assess changes in quick clay landslide risk with time. SAFERCLAY will provide a new approach for adapted and sustainable risk management for living and building in quick clay areas, including recommendations to ensure both public and environmental safety. NTNUs task in this project is analysing perceptions of quick clay and its effects on behaviour in different stakeholder groups. A survey has been designed and is currently implemented in Norway.  What binds the work in all three projects together is the focus on collecting citizen / stakeholder perceptions on novel products, risk factors, and behaviour interventions. In all three projects, these will primarily be studied with quantitative methods, thus excellent knowledge of quantitative analysis methods, data curation and handling, as well as designing research and surveys is essential.  Your immediate leader is the head of department. As required by law, 2% of this salary will be deducted and paid into the Norwegian Public Service Pension Fund. The position is subject to external funding. The engagement is to be made in accordance with the regulations in force concerning State Employees and Civil Servants, and the acts relating to Control of the Export of Strategic Goods, Services and Technology.
