Stillingsdetaljer
If you're the type of person who likes to meet challenges head on, then you'll find many like-minded people here at DeepOcean.
Our clients have become accustomed to our habit of accepting complex challenges and finding safe, efficient and innovative solutions. Our company is built on a willingness to continuously improve and create lasting value. This mindset not only drives results for our business but also creates exciting opportunities for our employees.
As our new Group Offshore Services Director, you will shape how DeepOcean plans, coordinates and invests in its offshore capability across regions. Bringing together offshore personnel, project equipment and investment planning, you will help us make the most of our global resources, strengthen cost competitiveness and ensure we have the capabilities needed for the future.
You will establish a new Group function and be part of DeepOcean's corporate leadership environment, reporting directly to the COO, seated from one of DeepOceans main hubs. Working closely with regional operations, resource and asset leaders, you will create common ways of working while maintaining a clear principle: global coordination, regional execution. Together, you will improve how we use our people and assets across the Group, while regional teams retain responsibility for day-to-day operations, projects and results.
What should you do?
Establish the Group Offshore Services function and develop effective ways of working with the regions
Lead Group-wide planning for offshore personnel, improving visibility of capacity and demand and prioritising internal resources where competence and requirements allow
Develop plans for offshore capacity, recruitment and competence across the Group
Provide Group-level governance for ROVs and other major project equipment, improving utilisation and coordinating deployment, maintenance and upgrades across regions
Drive common systems, procedures and technical standards for offshore personnel and asset management
Lead investment planning for vessels and project equipment, develop business cases and follow up CAPEX budgets and projects
Bring regional leaders together to align priorities, resolve competing demands and deliver Group-wide improvements
Work closely with the Ship Management Department to align vessel, equipment and personnel planning
What background and expertise do you bring with you?
To be successful in this role, we believe you have:
Relevant higher education, preferably in engineering, although extensive relevant experience may compensate
At least 15 years of experience in the subsea or offshore industry, including senior management roles
Experience leading across regions in an international matrix organisation
Experience in offshore resource management and crewing, including an understanding of competence requirements for international offshore crews
Experience in ROV or other project-equipment management and asset governance
Strong commercial understanding, including investment planning, business cases, CAPEX and cost management
It would be considered an advantage if you also have:
Experience in vessel management and marine operations
Leadership or business management education
Knowledge of DeepOcean's organisation and operations
Who are you as a person?
To thrive in this role, it is beneficial if you recognise yourself in several of the following qualities:
A natural ability to build trust and strong working relationships across regions, functions and cultures
The ability to make clear decisions when needed, while respecting regional ownership and accountability
Confidence in leading and influencing within a matrix organisation, even without direct line authority over the resources involved
You combine strategic thinking with an understanding of offshore operations and commercial priorities
A proactive and structured approach to identifying challenges early and driving practical solutions
Clear communication skills and bring people together around shared goals
Why should you choose us?
We think that our culture, where we like to solve challenges together, is perhaps the best reason to work with us. In addition, you would receive:
The opportunity to establish and shape a new Group function with significant strategic impact
A key leadership role connecting offshore people, assets and investments across an international organisation
The opportunity to work with skilled colleagues across regions to improve how we plan and deliver offshore services
Development opportunities on both a professional and personal level
An employer who values flexibility and understands that everyone's everyday life is different
A collaborative culture where people are encouraged to challenge, improve and innovate
Competitive pension and insurance schemes
The opportunity to work on world-leading projects across the globe
We are proud to be a workplace that offers equal opportunities for all. Inclusion, equality and diversity are central to how we work, and all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.
