About the position Are you passionate about biodiversity, sustainability, and student engagement? Do you want to help make the University of Oslo a greener and more nature-positive campus while gaining hands-on project experience?
The UiO Green Office is looking for a student employee with special responsibility for our biodiversity projects.
As Biodiversity Coordinator, you will take the lead on the Green Office's biodiversity initiatives while also contributing to Green Campus projects and collaborating with the wider Green Office team.
Key responsibilities and tasks include Managing and developing the Seed Library together with the Humanities and Social Sciences Library
Sow and take care of seed production on Abel's Rooftop Garden
Participating in the Miyawaki Forest project group
Developing new ideas and activities that promote biodiversity at UiO
Attending weekly team meetings (Tuesday and collaborating across Green Office projects
Supporting Green Campus events and activities
We are looking for someone who Is enrolled as a UiO student throughout 2026 and 2027
Has an interest in biodiversity, sustainability, and greener campuses
Can work independently and take responsibility for projects
Enjoys working collaboratively in a team
Has strong organizational skills
It is an advantage if you have experience with:
Gardening, cultivation, or biodiversity-related projects
Student organizations, volunteer work, or project coordination
Event planning, communication, or outreach activities
We offerA part-time position (20-30%, depending on your capacity)
Salary NOK 425 000 - per year for a full-time position (pro-rated for 20–30%)
Practical experience in sustainability and project development
